We recommend exercise about 40 minutes daily at least 5 times in a week with no more than 2 days break in between. Evertime you are running, walking, etc., make sure your heart rate is within the training zone. Use the calculator below to find out your training zone. Maximum benefits of exercise are realized only when we exercise within our training zone.

IMPORTANT:

What is really important is "Regular Exercise". If you do rigorous exercise for a day or two or a week or a month and then quit, that is not going to work. Let us look at it in this way. Can you eat the



whole day's food at one time and not eat or drink at different times during the day. Well, if you cannot, that is good and natural. Our body was not designed to operate in this manner. Just as our body works best when we eat a few meals and snacks throughout the day instead of eating it all at once, similarly, regular structured exercise is better than 4 hours of exercise on one day and then nothing the whole week.

If you are currently not involved in any physical activity, it is great to start right here and now and follow the links on our page for a complete set of exercises for the whole body that can be done daily easily. If you are engaged in some physical sports, it is perfectly fine to continue to pursue those. You can then select from our exercises, depending on which part of your body needs extra focus. It is good to have a variety of activities. Although it works best when done in one slot, if you cannot do all the exercises at one time, it is fine to do in parts at different times through the day with each part being 15 minutes.

VALUABLE TIP:

Associate the daily exercises with part of something you do everyday. For example, most of us watch TV everyday. If we make an association, for example, that "I will do exercise while listening to the news", then it makes it easier to remember and practice.
