The foods in this group include meat, beans, eggs, poultry, fish, and nuts. For vegetarians, the legumes and dry beans replace the meat portions. Food Serving and Calories table provides information on how much of these and some other foods constitute a serve and the calorie content of the serve.
Remember to choose lean meat or low-fat wherever possible.
