Regarding food, here are the most significant things you need to stop doing immediately:
- Remember, excess of everything is bad. Do not eat or drink anything in excess.
- Do not skip a meal.
- You should not be starving at meal times. The reason is, if you are starving, you will end up eating way more than your normal diet. So, if you feel that you get really hungry by meal times, eat a more filling snack in between.
- A lot of people have a cup of tea or coffee with their meals. Unfortunately, that is not really the best idea as less of the good nutrients of the food are absorbed by the body when processed with tea or coffee. Instead, try to have juice or plain simple water.
- Avoid drinking too much soda.
- No smoking please. Smokers have a tendency to smoke before and after meals. Put an immediate stop to this. Best is to Quit smoking anyway.
- One should not eat a meal when angry or stressed. There is a tendency to eat more than normal when mind is not calm. Make sure, you are emotionally calm and relaxed at meal times.
